I wear a size 9 medium shoe and ordered the 9-9 1/2 size boots. Fit is fine for me, and I don't have a narrow foot. Might run a little short for size 9 1/2 foot. My boots arrived with 1 missing clip for the rear elastic lace and no ends for the cords. Didn't matter, really. I replaced both front and back laces with red elastic, which solved the problem and looks sporty. Purchased for a trip to Canada in Nov 2022, so that will be the real test of warmth. I chose these because I wanted a shortie boot of leather not rubber (makes my feet sweat) and rated for serious cold. Winter yet to come, but I'll be trying them out this year.I like these boots so much but they definitely run narrow, and I have a narrow foot! My feet are 9.5 inches long so I wear women's 7.5 and got the size 7/7.5 that was offered but they were so narrow it hurt to walk in them. But I loved how warm and stylish they are, and waterproof! that I decided to get the next size up, 8/8.5. This size fit much better in width but of course are just a little too long but I added a sole insert on top of the boot's preexisting sole insert and this did the trick to fill in the small amount of wiggle room. Still can't wear thick socks with these, or else they feel too narrow again, but they are so warm with a normal sock that it's all I need anyways. Seems complicated but it was worth it for me since I have been searching for snow boots for way too long and love how these look. LOVE being able to tighten the back around the ankle, definitely helps support me while I walk 15 minutes to work everyday from the bus. This is actually a replacement for a prettier, cheaper, brown version. When I went to put those on, the cinch cord snapped asap. So I got these as a replacement. Guess what? Second day, snapped again. Figured it was a defective product, but my area had record snowfall for 2 straight MONTHS, so I couldn't deal with my snow sneakers. I got these figuring Canadians know about snow and they'd make a good product. Partially right. They do make cool maple leaf imprints in the snow, which is fun. I find that since I'm babying the broken cinch cords (both sides were wasted in less than a week), that I don't miss their non functionality. And knowing what size I am in European numbers helped me buy shoes on that "Hoping" site where their product come from China. (FYI: 10.5 US is about a 42 in Canadian/European sizing). I use them, but I wish they worked for how expensive they were.I read all the reviews before I purchase as I wanted waterproof boots. These boots are comfortable but if compared to KEEN boots are slightly narrow. I wear KEEN size 9. I ordered the size 40 in PAJAR. I would say they are slightly longer (2-3mm) than the KEEN 9 but not enough to cause concern or have my foot slip. I wore the PAJAR boots while walking my dog and found them very comfortable. The issue I found today while walking through wet grass is that the boots are not waterproof above the leather foot area.. Where the leather meets the softer suede/leather on the top of the foot the water soaked through in a matter of minutes. It was not raining and I was just walking through ankle high grass. Was very disappointed. As the water soaked my feet via the soft suede area, by the time I got home my socks were completely soaked and the boots were damp inside. The boots are lightweight, comfortable but the whole boot is not waterproof. It might be ok in snow. Will try a waterproof spray.Well, we're all living through this never-ending miserable winter. Snowstorm after snowstorm along the coast in eastern MA. I took a chance buying a pair of boots online. I own several other pairs made by other companies, but I wore my Pajars all winter. Warm and sure-footed. I bought my usual size, 6.5, but for next winter, I'll try a size 7 so I can insert my orthotic, nevertheless, these boots are comfortable. Great traction in heavy wet snow & kept my feet warm with only one pair of cashmere or angora socks & my feet are ALWAYS cold! As for walking on ice - what kind of traction doesn't slip a little bit? I still felt more secure in these than my other boots. I love Pajars and am now a dedicated customer. Will be looking for another pair. Totally recommend!!!I usually wear a size 7.5 - 8 and I bought the 38. They fit perfectly although I have to unlace them to put them on. I live at 9000ft in the Rocky Mountains where we get plenty of snow and freezing temps; these boots keep my feet very warm without weighing me down. I love that they are not huge and clunky. I use Kahtoola cleats or yaxtrax when I need extra traction on ice. These boots serve me well in my rural community, but still look smart enough to wear into town at lower elevations. I liked these so much I bought in brown and black - highly recommend!I am a 7.5/8 and most sites say when buying boots to size up a bit. I bought the 38-39 and they were too large. I traded down for the 38 and with some wool socks they fit perfect! I'm excited to use them on my trip to Iceland ?I loved this boot but unfortunately I had to return it because it was too small. I typically wear a 8.5-9 and bought the 8-8.5 . My suggestion is to go a size up if you're trying to decide between the half sizes. The boot is adorable, well constructed, and very warm and comfortable. I returned them for a 9-9.5 and I think they'll be a great fit when they arrive!these snow boots are comfortable with an excellent support and also waterproof - I have been wearing them for miles each day in the mud and rain and they are soo comfortable and light. the extra scarf and hat were a bonus - I will definitely buy these againdie Schuhe sind sicher super warm, sehr bequem, sie sind nicht zu schwer, fühlen sich durch das Wollfell nicht so "künstlich" an, wie die Synthetiktreter und sehen gut aus.
