Aravon is a brand I've been following as they make narrow width shoes. Reviews on this shoe indicated that it may run a little small so I ordered two sizes. (That meant returning the other was on my dime.) I usually wear an 8N and in my opinion it is true to size. The length and width are good. Heel width will have to be determined with wearing. The 8.5N was too large. Pros--style wise shoe is better than I expected. It is not clunky and has stretchy fabric at the ball of the foot to accommodate that aging joint. Cons--the lining grabs your sock so it isn't easy to get on. Shoe seems somewhat stiff and one has a seam right below the ankle bone that I hope softens. This is supposed to be $130 shoe. Quality in not what it used to be. Are good leathers really that hard to get? Update 12/2021--I've been wearing the shoe for several months now and the leather is not softening. The quality is disappointing. I will not shop this brand again.
